Is HOA membership voluntary or mandatory?

Dues are voluntary.  Every homeowner  should know that the dues support the maintenance and care of common property in our neighborhood, particularly the main entrances on Wilson Pike and Concord Road.  Maintenance requires funds for repairs, lighting, irrigation, landscaping and seasonal decorations.  Dues also support maintenance on street signs and poles, as well as social activities in the neighborhood.   Dues are nominal and yet have a direct and significant impact on the value of your home. We certainly appreciate your annual support; it's important and necessary.  Let's not let our community deteriorate like others have due to the lack of support.
